Introducing Jeny

Welcome to my blog aka diary.
By a way of introduction, I decided to start this blog with this post. I guess it makes sense, right?
My name is Jeny, yes with one "n" only. #veryfancy
I'm 29 years "old", a mom to beautiful 3 year old Sophia and mom to be to another baby girl, arriving in April 2018. Wifey to my amazing husband (and baby daddy) since 2013. Born and raised in Switzerland and daughter of Spanish/Portuguese immigrants.
Wow, that basically resumes my life, how sad is that?
Well, no, hold on...I work full-time for an international company and studied accounting.

The reason I'm starting this blog
I never was much of a writer and was always more pron to numbers (although I was bad at math in school). I guess the number thing started with my accounting education. So, I was horrible at writing essays and all that stuff but I discovered my passion for reading in my late teens. Before I became a mom, I would read lots of books, like a book per month. After having Sophia I compromised with audio books, which I really enjoyed for a long time. Lately, I have the urge again to hold the actual book in my hands. So I got real crazy one evening and ordered the entire Outlander book-series (8 books) on Amazon. Reality hit me really hard though and I realized...ain't nobody got time for that!!
Back to the topic...focus Jeny, FOCUS! I basically felt the need to vent. To just sit down and type like a mad woman. I never had a diary growing up or as a teen (well I had but never wrote consistently), so I thought - why not? I'm basically giving this whole thing a shot and see how good (or bad) I am at this. I have no blog experience what so ever, so that's a first as well. My internet skills are far from professional as well. Basically, I'm the definition of a total beginner. But hey...I'm going to embrace that and just...jump!
